LHD HEADLIGHT UNIT
« on: December 16, 2017, 12:11:56 PM »
hi all,
on the road to getting the bike ready for its spanish ITV/MOT i am looking for a replacement headlight unit, the existing bosh is 0 301 6?? 611 ,the first replacement i got looked good but did not have the correct mounting points for the pressed steel mounting plate.
could someone give me the correct bosh reference number for the left hand drive version of what i have or any equivalent i could buy that would fit.
many thanks
chris

Hi Chris, sorry but the only thing I have heard is that the original RH unit is from a VW Golf so that would be a Mk1. Can’t tell you what the part number would be though but a LH unit is available online from vwheritage for £45.90. Worth checking?

Cheers,

Robert

Hi Rob ,unfortunately some of the digits are unreadable on the yellow bosch sticker, the thing is getting a 7" lhd headlight with the same mounting points as the original,
next i will take the unit in to my local vw parts shop to see what they think.
thanks
chris

Good news Chris. Mk1 and Mk2 Golf both the same apparently. So there shouldn’t be a shortage of them just yet....
